Lyrical Triptych Reflection
In digital media class we had an assignment, our assignment was to make a lyrical triptych. I had to go on the internet to pick a song I loved, and also had meaning in life. When I started to pick my song I would also find pictures using www.gettyimages.com, also www.flickr.com. While I had my pictures done I would go on photo shop and then start to make my triptych. I would click on new, then start too change the size, 5 by 7. Then every time I added pictures I had to make sure that all my pictures are the same.
My triptych is more into the love scene, and in the song it talks about how girls like we see now, teenagers falling in love. Also seeing girls and boys experiencing the drama that all relationships go through. The song I picked was “Mine” by Taylor Swift. My triptych looks great, it has shadows and two people kissing and sitting by the water. I used the polygonal lasso tool to cut out things and paste on my triptych. I also used the move tool to move my pictures where I wanted them to be.
I also used transform to scale my photos, so they can get smaller when I wanted.
I used the type tool to type in parts of the song on to my triptych. I also used the blending options to blend in worlds, and to make some of the pictures see through. I also used filters for all three of my triptych. I used filters to make it stand out more,
I picked the images that would fit into what the song was saying. Like for example “ do you remember we were sitting there by the water” I had two people sitting by the water. And the guy has his hands around her. I felt if that was a love scene so I made it look like a love scene. Then in one of the parts was that they didn’t know what to do and they were falling apart and arguing, so I felt that in that triptych it should be dark and sad. So I darken the shadows and cut out a girl and a guy sad.
My experience working with the adobe photo shop was great, I loved it, I know how to use the tools, I didn’t ask the teacher to cut out things I did it myself. Working on this project helps me learn how to use photo shop by myself. I think I did great I used almost every tool on my sheet. And I used filters. I feel as I am successful. I would change and do a deeper song if I had to do it again. I feel as if I can make a great triptych and make it look different, like no one has seen before.
i think your triptych came out awesome ! (:
