                                                  Digital Story Reflection

The assignment was to make a digital story about anything that we wanted to do. What i was to told to create was a story line, and it was what we wanted to do it on. The rules were that we had to make a movie based on what we wanted. We had to record, but it had to be appropriate. If we added music to the back the song needs to be appropriate as well. We must had to add transitions, and add effects to the video.

My digital story was about singing and how Amy morales told me to go for my dreams. My pictures first started when I'm in school, and I'm talking about how i am shy, but not really. When i get on that stage and Amy and I start to sing all the nerves go away. And i feel like I am not myself but someone famous. Also It shows that i love singing, and that it brings me happiness. You can look at my expression when i sing. I smile, because all my anger and unhappiness goes away. Music is my life, and I'm going to be a singer.

I picked this story because Amy Morales was the one that inspired me, if it wasn't for her i wouldn't have the guts i have now to get on stage and perform. She was the one that reminded me that music was a part of me. She was the one that told me i was good, and coming from a talented young singer as her, it made me believe that i can be a singer if i try hard enough. And that was the most greatest day of my life when she told me i had a beautiful voice, she told me that i can't just sit there and wait for it to happen, i have to go for it. And she is right, now look at me, i can perform and i know I'm good. No one can take that away from me.

Looking at the rubric i think i did very well, i have everything that the teacher listed. I have transitions and effects and also i have voice in it. My pictures match everything, and it shows a story. I like using Imovie because it was something new and not photo shop. And also was a little challenge witch was good. Using the Imovie was a little difficult because i was absent when the class had taken notes, but i was the one of the first one finished. My experience with digital media was fun and i loved it. It was something that i wouldn't expect to be fun, but i was wrong. I think i can use this in the future, when i go off to college and i have an assignment i can WOW them using this program to make it look great.

Photographic Truth(:

                                                Photographic Truth Reflection

The assignment was that we had to pick a topic that we wanted to put ourselves in. And make us look like we are part of the picture. The steps I took to do this project was that first, I had to find pictures of the twilight saga, because that was my topic, I had to take pictures of me, as if I was in the scene and, make myself look like a vampire. Then I had to cut myself out my pictures and put myself in it and also make it look real. The phrase photographic truth mean is pictures that make you look like you were really in it. To look up photos I used www.google.com I had to pick some of the photos that are huge in order to make my six photos.

My book is about me being a vampire, so I chosen the twilight saga.  So I made myself look like I was really in it. The images I picked were a twilight quote from the book, also the movie. And it had the hands on the book. Another picture I have was me and Edward. I’m looking back and he is looking forward. I chosen that picture because I kept hearing all the time I look like Bella in the movie.  And most of them I have pictures, with Edward. Its either in a scene or with the characters from twilight.

The tools I needed for this project was, I hat cut it. Also fix the color of the photo. Brighten it a bit. The website I used to create my pictures to look like a vampire is www.picnik.com. This website has so many things to choose from. I also used a tool to take out unwanted characters. I also used the color bucket to change a background color. I used the flip horizontal tool, to flip it a way I need it to be. I used transform scale so I can change sizes of my photo, if I was big or to small.

My theme is vampires , from the twilight saga.  I chose this theme, because most people said I look like Bella in the movie. And also I wanted to pretend if I was in the movie myself. I also love the books, and the movies. I am a fan of the twilight saga. So doing this project was fun to do. It was a great learning experience to do this. And I like vampires, my images says everyone has dreams of being something they can’t. But if you dream, you can always live in your fantasy.

I learned that anyone can make photos that look so real, like your really in it. And that there is a tool you use to take out unwanted characters or things you have in your photo. This was fun to do, I really enjoyed this project. I did find this project a little hard, then what we did so far because you have lots of steps to take and remember. I do think that I was successful, in this project. I wouldn’t do anything differently. I like my project the way it is. I created it and I’m proud of it. I really can’t wait to do another project for digital media class. I’m look forward to doing another project.  If I had to do this project over maybe I would pick something more easy to do.

         Lyrical Triptych Reflection

In digital media class we had an assignment, our assignment was to make a lyrical triptych. I had to go on the internet to pick a song I loved, and also had meaning in life. When I started to pick my song I would also find pictures using www.gettyimages.com, also www.flickr.com. While I had my pictures done I would go on photo shop and then start to make my triptych. I would click on new, then start too change the size, 5 by 7. Then every time I added pictures I had to make sure that all my pictures are the same.

My triptych is more into the love scene, and in the song it talks about how girls like we see now, teenagers falling in love. Also seeing girls and boys experiencing the drama that all relationships go through. The song I picked was “Mine” by Taylor Swift. My triptych looks great, it has shadows and two people kissing and sitting by the water. I used the polygonal lasso tool to cut out things and paste on my triptych. I also used the move tool to move my pictures where I wanted them to be.

I also used transform to scale my photos, so they can get smaller when I wanted.
I used the type tool to type in parts of the song on to my triptych. I also used the blending options to blend in worlds, and to make some of the pictures see through.  I also used filters for all three of my triptych. I used filters to make it stand out more,

I picked the images that would fit into what the song was saying. Like for example “ do you remember we were sitting there by the water” I had two people sitting by the water. And the guy has his hands around her. I felt if that was a love scene so I made it look like a love scene. Then in one of the parts was that they didn’t know what to do and they were falling apart and arguing, so I felt that in that triptych it should be dark and sad.  So I darken the shadows and cut out a girl and a guy sad.

My experience working with the adobe photo shop was great, I loved it, I know how to use the tools, I didn’t ask the teacher to cut out things I did it myself. Working on this project helps me learn how to use photo shop by myself. I think I did great I used almost every tool on my sheet. And I used filters. I feel as I am successful. I would change and do a deeper song if I had to do it again. I feel as if I can make a great triptych and make it look different, like no one has seen before.

Magazine and Reflection(:

                                                             Reflection

In my digital media class we had an assignment about what we wanted to be famous for. We had to make magazine covers, and think of ideas and headlines for the magazine cover. We were taught how to use adobe photo shop also use the magic wand, to cut out, and also how to use the text box and how to make a background. Also how to use the blending options which was fun to do. Before making our magazine we had to write down what kind of magazine I want, and what I wanted to be famous for. Then I had to think of Ideas of headlines I wanted to be on the magazine.

My magazine has New York in the background and with black lettering with a yellow glow for the outline of the letters. I have me in the front of the letters, and my magazine was teen magazine. Its pretty because the background is New York  at night, it has lights open and looks very good.

What I was trying to communicate through my magazine is that if you stick your mind to whatever you want to be you can do it. Never let anyone say you can’t do something you love doing. If you work hard enough you’ll be successful. I tried to communicate that meaning by the way I look, and also by, me being a young singer it shows that if you work hard enough you can do anything.

By looking at the rubric I think I did great, I did what it was asking. I was prepared, always on time and did everything was asked. I took notes when was needed to do.  My magazine was appropriate and understanding to read what I was famous for. I used blending options and also blended the titles and have headlines related to my magazine.  This project was fun to do and great to learn how to use photo shop. I had a great experience by learning how to make magazines.
